The four-star property sits on a street that’s peaceful enough for morning coffee on your balcony, but you’re still within easy reach of the main action. I mean, the High Tatras are right there, and you can actually see the peaks from many of the windows.

The Rooms

My room had this cozy mountain lodge feeling — wood accents, comfortable furnishings, and a balcony that looked out toward the mountains. The bathroom was modern and well-maintained, which honestly matters more than you’d think after a long day hiking. What struck me was how quiet it stayed at night, even though we weren’t far from the tourist areas. The Wi-Fi worked well too, which you can’t always count on in mountain locations.

The hotel’s restaurant serves solid Slovak cuisine alongside international options — I had some excellent goulash one evening that hit the spot after being out in the cold all day. The staff seemed genuinely familiar with the area and could actually give useful hiking recommendations beyond the obvious tourist spots.
