You’re close enough to the Tatra Mountains for serious hiking, but far enough from the crowds that you feel like you’ve discovered something special. I mean, the closest thing to noise pollution here is the occasional cow bell from nearby farms.

My room was spotless — and I’m pretty picky about cleanliness when I travel. The furnishings weren’t fancy, but everything felt solid and well-maintained, which matters more than you’d think.
