First Impressions

Walking up to Hotel Krystal on Masarykova street, I honestly wasn’t expecting much — but this three-star spot surprised me right from the start. The building has this classic Central European charm that fits perfectly with Luhačovice’s spa town vibe, and you can tell they’ve put effort into maintaining the facade without overdoing the renovations.

The Heart of Spa Country

What I love about this location is how it sits right in the thick of things without feeling touristy. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the main colonnade where all the mineral springs are, but the street itself stays pretty quiet. I mean, Luhačovice isn’t exactly Prague, but for a spa town, you want that peaceful atmosphere — and Hotel Krystal delivers on that front.

Room Experience

My room was actually larger than I expected for a mid-range place in a smaller Czech town. The furnishings aren’t going to win any design awards, but everything was clean and functional, with decent beds and surprisingly good water pressure in the shower. The Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay, which honestly can’t be taken for granted in some of these older buildings.

Dining and Amenities

The hotel’s restaurant serves solid Czech cuisine — nothing fancy, but the goulash was properly done and the portions were generous. What really caught my attention was how accommodating the staff were with dietary requests, which you don’t always get in smaller establishments. There’s also secure parking available, which is actually pretty valuable since finding spots on the street can be tricky during peak spa season.
