This four-star property sits right on Piłsudskiego street in Poronin, and you know what struck me immediately? The thoughtful way they’ve designed everything around wellness and relaxation, not just as an afterthought.

The spa facilities here are genuinely impressive — I mean, they’ve got everything from jacuzzis to saunas, plus this fascinating salt cave (that’s the “grota solna” part) that creates this almost therapeutic atmosphere. The salt cave was actually my favorite discovery; it’s designed to help with respiratory issues and just general relaxation. They also have a graduation tower (tężnia in Polish), which is this traditional wooden structure that creates a microclimate with salt-infused air — something you’d typically find at Polish health resorts.

Each room feels carefully planned rather than just decorated. The spaces are modern but warm, with that mountain lodge feeling that works perfectly in this part of the Tatras region. What I appreciated most was how quiet everything stays, even when the spa facilities are busy — the sound insulation is clearly well thought out.

Location & Getting Around

Poronin sits in this sweet spot between Zakopane’s tourist crowds and the more remote mountain areas. You’re about 10 minutes from Zakopane if you want the full mountain town experience, but staying here means you get the peaceful mountain atmosphere without all the hustle. The location works particularly well if you’re planning day trips into the Tatras — several trailheads are actually closer from here than from Zakopane itself.
