Honestly, when I first pulled up to Voevodyno Resort in Tur’ya Paseka village, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. This unique boutique hotel sits tucked away in the Ukrainian countryside, and there’s something almost fairy-tale about the whole setting. You know what struck me first? The complete silence — well, except for the occasional bird call and rustling leaves. It’s the kind of place that makes you realize how much city noise you’ve been carrying in your shoulders.

The village itself is tiny, maybe a handful of houses scattered around, but that’s exactly the point. You’re surrounded by rolling hills and dense forests that seem to go on forever. I mean, this isn’t your typical resort destination — there’s no bustling town center or flashy attractions nearby. What you get instead is pure, unfiltered nature and a chance to actually disconnect. My room had this wonderful rustic-meets-modern vibe that actually worked. Think exposed wooden beams paired with contemporary furnishings and really thoughtful lighting. The staff clearly put effort into making each space feel individual rather than cookie-cutter. What I loved most was how quiet everything was — you could hear yourself think, which is rarer than it should be these days.

The restaurant serves up hearty Ukrainian fare with a refined twist, and honestly, after a day of hiking around the area, there’s nothing better than settling in for a proper meal. They source a lot locally, which you can taste in everything from the vegetables to the dairy. There’s also a small spa area where you can unwind — nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate for working out the kinks after exploring the countryside. Parking is never an issue here, obviously, given how remote the location is.
