You’re perfectly positioned here, about 15 minutes from Tatranská Lomnica’s cable cars and ski lifts, but far enough away to avoid the tourist crowds that swarm the main resort areas. The village itself is pleasantly sleepy — you can walk to a decent grocery store and a couple of local spots, but you’ll want a car if you’re planning to explore the region properly. I mean, this is High Tatras country, so having wheels opens up all those mountain trails and thermal springs scattered around.

My room was spotless and surprisingly spacious, with wooden floors that give off those satisfying creaks when you walk around barefoot in the morning. The mountain views from the windows are genuinely spectacular — not just a marketing claim — and the beds are properly comfortable (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in smaller places). The bathrooms are modern without being flashy, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water, which matters when you’ve been hiking all day.
