When I first arrived at Spark, tucked away in the Urochysche Vyshnya area of Bukovel, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this boutique property without an official star rating. The building has this contemporary mountain lodge feel that immediately sets it apart from the typical ski resort hotels you’ll find scattered throughout the area.

Location & Getting Around

The location is actually pretty clever — you’re close enough to Bukovel’s main ski lifts that you won’t spend half your morning getting to the slopes, but far enough from the crowds that evenings feel peaceful. I mean, after a full day of skiing or hiking (depending on the season), the last thing you want is to deal with the tourist chaos that can overtake the resort center. The taxi ride to the main village takes maybe 10 minutes, which gives you options for dining out without being stuck with just one restaurant.

The Room Experience

My room had this interesting mix of modern comfort and mountain cabin vibes — think clean lines but with warm wood accents that actually work. The windows frame the Carpathian landscape pretty dramatically, and honestly, I spent more time than I’d care to admit just staring out at the forest.
