Walking up to Siklawa on Tetmajera Street, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical mountain hotel. I mean, you’re literally minutes from the main Krupówki pedestrian zone, but it feels worlds away from the tourist chaos.

The room I stayed in had these gorgeous mountain views that honestly made me want to skip breakfast just to keep staring out the window. What really impressed me was the attention to detail — heated bathroom floors (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in winter), and blackout curtains that actually work. The beds are seriously comfortable, which matters when you’ve spent the day hiking in the Tatras and your legs feel like jelly.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what locals know but guidebooks don’t always mention: this location puts you right in the sweet spot. You can walk to Gubałówka Hill’s cable car in about ten minutes, but you’re also close enough to those amazing highland restaurants on Krupówki that you don’t need to plan your evening around transportation. There’s parking available, which — let’s be honest — is pretty crucial in Zakopane where finding a spot can be a nightmare during peak season.

Dining & Amenities

The hotel’s restaurant serves up this fantastic mix of traditional Polish mountain food and more contemporary dishes. I actually ended up eating there more nights than I planned because, well, the oscypek (smoked sheep cheese) appetizer was ridiculously good. They’ve also got a spa area that’s perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes or hiking trails — nothing too elaborate, but exactly what you need.

This four-star place has earned its 9.5 rating because it gets the basics absolutely right while adding those little touches that make a difference. The staff actually knows the area — they can tell you which trails are worth your time and which restaurants are tourist traps to avoid.
