The building has this modern yet understated elegance that immediately signals they’ve put thought into the details without going overboard.

The hotel sits on Orbán Balázs street, which is actually perfect if you want to explore the Székely region without dealing with city center chaos. I mean, you’re close enough to walk into town when you feel like it, but far enough away that you get those peaceful mornings where the only sounds are birds and maybe some distant church bells. The parking situation is refreshingly stress-free — something I definitely appreciated after driving through Romania’s winding mountain roads.

The Room Experience

My room was larger than I expected, with this clean, contemporary design that doesn’t feel sterile. The beds are properly firm (thank goodness), and the bathrooms have those little touches that show someone actually stays in these rooms to test them out. What really got me was the view — depending on which side you’re on, you’ll either see the town spreading out below or the rolling hills that make this part of Transylvania so quietly beautiful.

Here’s where Septimia really shines, honestly. The spa facilities are more extensive than you’d expect from a place this size — I spent way too much time in their thermal pools, and their massage therapists actually know what they’re doing. The main restaurant serves a mix of Romanian classics and international dishes, and while it’s not going to change your life, everything I tried was well-prepared and reasonably priced. Their breakfast spread is solid too, with local cheeses and cured meats that give you a real taste of Székely cuisine.
