You’re right in the heart of the Carpathians here, and I mean literally — step outside and the hiking trails are practically at your doorstep. The hotel sits close enough to the ski lifts that you can actually walk there in winter (trust me, I’ve done it with all my gear). What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night, especially after spending time in busier mountain towns.
