When I first walked into Premium City Centre Bedrooms, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name — it sounds a bit corporate, doesn’t it? But you know what, sometimes the most straightforward names hide the best surprises. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Prešov’s old town, and the moment you step inside, there’s this immediately welcoming vibe that catches you off guard in the best way.

Location & Getting Around

The address on Baštová street is actually perfect if you want to explore Prešov properly. You’re literally steps away from the main square with all those colorful Renaissance houses — I mean, you can grab your morning coffee and be people-watching in the square within two minutes. What I really appreciated was being able to walk to most restaurants and attractions without dealing with parking headaches, which anyone who’s driven through Slovak old towns will understand.

The Room Experience

My room was honestly bigger than I expected, with this modern but warm design that doesn’t try too hard to be trendy. The beds are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel-brochure comfortable — and there’s actually decent storage space for your stuff. The bathrooms are well-designed too, with good water pressure (you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue in older European buildings). Small detail, but the blackout curtains actually work, which helped me sleep through those bright summer mornings.

Daily Life & Amenities

There isn’t a full restaurant on-site, which initially seemed like a downside, but it actually works in your favor. The breakfast setup is solid — nothing fancy, but fresh and filling — and being “forced” to venture out for dinner means you’ll discover some excellent local spots you might otherwise miss. The staff genuinely knows the area and their recommendations led me to this fantastic traditional Slovak place just around the corner that I never would’ve found on my own.
