Okružná street is perfectly positioned — you’re close enough to Prešov’s historic center that you can walk there in about ten minutes, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your window. I mean, Prešov isn’t exactly overrun with tourists anyway, but still. There’s a decent grocery store nearby (trust me, you’ll want to grab some local bread), and I found a surprisingly good coffee place just two blocks away that the locals actually use.

The Room

My room was larger than I expected for a four-star place — these older buildings sometimes have weird layouts, but they managed to make good use of the space. The bed was properly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom was completely modernized without losing character. What I really liked was the attention to small details: good lighting for reading, enough outlets where you actually need them, and windows that open properly for fresh air.

Practical Stuff

Parking is available, which is honestly a relief in Prešov’s narrow streets — I watched other travelers circle around looking for spots while I was already settled. The Wi-Fi actually works well throughout the building, and they’ve got this nice common area where you can sit with coffee if you need a change of scenery. The restaurant serves solid Slovak dishes, nothing fancy but done properly, and the portions are generous enough that you won’t leave hungry.
