Górski Eden sits right in the heart of Czorsztyn, and honestly, the name says it all — this really feels like a mountain paradise. I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much from a four-star place in such a small village, but this hotel completely changed my perspective on what Polish mountain hospitality can be.

The Setting

You know what struck me most? The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the Pieniny Mountains without dealing with crowded resort towns. Czorsztyn Lake is literally a few minutes’ walk away, and I mean — having breakfast while looking out at those castle ruins across the water never got old. The village itself is tiny, but that’s actually part of the charm. You’re close enough to Niedzica Castle that you can easily walk there, yet far enough from the tourist buses that evenings feel peaceful.

The Room Experience

My room faced the mountains, which I’d definitely recommend requesting when you book. The furnishings aren’t fancy, but everything feels solid and well-thought-out — good reading lights, plenty of outlets, and a bathroom that’s modern without being sterile. What I appreciated most was how quiet everything was at night. After spending days hiking in the Pieniny, that kind of rest actually matters.

Food and Hospitality

The restaurant serves proper Polish mountain food, not the touristy version you get in Zakopane. I had some of the best oscypek cheese here — the staff told me they source it from local shepherds up in the hills. Breakfast was generous without being overwhelming, and dinner… well, let’s just say their żurek soup became my regular order. The service feels personal too, like they actually care whether you’re having a good time.
