The building has this understated charm that’s refreshing after seeing so many flashy hotel facades. When I first stepped inside, I was struck by how thoughtfully designed everything felt — it’s clear someone put real care into making this place feel like home rather than just another tourist stop.

Location & Getting Around

You’re basically in the heart of Drobeta-Turnu Severin, which means you can walk to most places you’ll want to see. The Danube waterfront is just a few minutes on foot, and I found myself heading down there every evening — there’s something magical about watching the river at sunset. The old Roman ruins at Drobeta are close enough that you could pop over for a quick look between other activities. Parking can be a bit tricky in this part of town, but the staff knows all the local spots.

The Space Itself

The studio setup works brilliantly — it’s compact but never feels cramped. Everything flows together naturally, from the sleeping area to the small seating nook by the window. The kitchen is actually functional (not one of those tiny things where you can barely make coffee), and I appreciated having real counter space. The whole room gets great natural light during the day, which makes it feel much larger than it actually is.

This four-star property punches well above its weight class. The attention to detail is what got me — fresh flowers, quality linens that actually feel good, and a shower with proper water pressure. You know what really impressed me though? The little touches like having a proper coffee setup and local recommendations written out by hand. It’s the kind of place where someone clearly thought about what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos.

That 9.7 rating isn’t an accident. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that look perfect online but fall short in reality — this isn’t one of them.
