Here’s the thing about Strada Muncii — it’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the main tourist crowds, but you can still walk to everything that matters in Predeal. The train station is maybe a 10-minute stroll, which is perfect if you’re coming up from Bucharest without a car. And if you’re planning to hit the slopes at Clăbucet, well, you’re practically there already. I mean, you can see the ski runs from some of the hotel windows.

The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious — these aren’t those cramped mountain hotel boxes you sometimes get. What I really appreciated was the attention to details that actually matter: proper blackout curtains (crucial when you want to sleep in after a day on the slopes), a bathroom with decent water pressure, and — this might sound small — but hooks and shelves where you actually need them. The mountain views from the upper floors are honestly pretty spectacular, especially in the morning when the light hits the peaks just right.

The restaurant serves this interesting mix of Romanian mountain cuisine and international dishes that actually works. Their ciorbă de burtă is legitimately good — not tourist-trap good, but like what you’d get at a proper Romanian family gathering. There’s also a small spa area that’s perfect after spending the day hiking or skiing; nothing massive, but the sauna hits the spot when your legs are screaming from all those mountain trails.

Why Guests Love It

Look, with a 9.4 rating, this place is clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get it. It’s that sweet spot where everything just works without feeling overly polished or impersonal. The parking situation is sorted (which matters more than you’d think in Predeal), the WiFi actually functions throughout the building, and the housekeeping team keeps things spotless without being intrusive. Plus, the location gives you easy access to both the Carpathian hiking trails and Brașov if you want to do a day trip — honestly, it’s one of those places where you end up extending your stay because leaving just feels premature.
