The wooden chalet sits right there “under the peaks” as promised, with the High Tatras creating this incredible backdrop that honestly makes your phone camera work overtime.

Here’s where the location really pays off — you’re incredibly close to some fantastic hiking trails that don’t require fighting crowds at the main Tatras entrances. The owners are actually great sources of local trail information, pointing out routes that even some guidebooks miss. During winter, the skiing options are solid too, and you can practically roll out of bed onto the slopes. There’s parking right on-site, which matters more than you’d think when you’re hauling ski gear or hiking boots.
