The kitchen setup is what really sold me — not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation, but actual counter space where you can prep a proper meal. I mean, after a few days of Slovak pub food (delicious, but heavy), having the option to cook something light was perfect.
Location Perks
You’re about a ten-minute walk from Trenčín Castle, which sounds far but really isn’t — especially when you factor in that you’ll want to stop at that little bakery on Mierové námestie anyway. The neighborhood feels authentically Slovak, not like the sanitized tourist zones. There’s a decent grocery store two blocks away, and the tram connections are solid if you’re planning day trips to Bratislava.
Practical Details
The 7.9 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. Parking can be a bit tricky — it’s street parking mostly, but the staff will point you toward the spots locals know about. The Wi-Fi actually works well throughout the building, which isn’t always a given in these older conversions. One thing to note: the walls aren’t super thick, so you might hear your neighbors if they’re being loud, but I didn’t find it disruptive.

Visiting my hometown from time to time always gives me an opportunity to explore new places to stay.
Apartment was spacious, good location to city center and also shops.
Big apartment in a quit residential area, with free parking available and close to the shops.
What could be improved: Well, it was 5 of us, place offers 5 beds, but only 4 table chairs. Some rooms are renovated, some are a bit outdated.
2 balconies, very spacious and clean apart from sofa - see further comments. Huge bathroom with bidet. Host even left a washing capsule on the washing machine in case we wished to use it which I think was thoughtful. What could be improved: 2 beds...

Poloha blízko centra, priestranný a cisty byt s piatimi pohodlnými posteľami, bezproblémová komunikácia s majiteľkou.
