It’s tucked away on Starojánska street — and I mean tucked away, you’ll need to pay attention to the address because it’s not right on the main drag where all the tourist buses stop.
The Apartment Experience
Here’s the thing about staying in an apartment versus a regular hotel room — you get so much more space to spread out. Each unit comes with its own kitchenette, which honestly saved me a ton of money since eating out for every meal in Slovakia can add up. The kitchenette isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you actually need: decent-sized fridge, stovetop, and all the basic cookware.
Location & Getting Around
Liptovský Ján sits right in the heart of the Liptov region, and that’s no accident — this area is basically adventure central for northern Slovakia. You’re about 15 minutes from Jasná ski resort, which is clutch if you’re here during winter season. In summer, the hiking trails around Chopok mountain are incredible, and the cable car system makes it easy even if you’re not super athletic.
The Details That Matter
The staff here actually speaks decent English, which isn’t always a given in smaller Slovak towns. There’s parking right on-site, and trust me, you’ll want a car if you’re planning to explore the region properly. The apartments themselves are clean and modern — not Instagram-perfect, but comfortable with good Wi-Fi and decent water pressure in the showers.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but it hits that sweet spot of being comfortable, well-located, and reasonably priced for what you get. Bardzo miły właściciel. Dom czysty, 3 łazienki. Dobrze wyposażona kuchnia. Grupa 9 osób komfortowo mieszkała.
