The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious, which you don’t always expect in Slovakia’s smaller towns. What I loved most was the open-plan design — the living area flows seamlessly into a well-equipped kitchenette that’s actually functional, not just decorative like in so many places. The loft-style ceiling gives you this airy feeling, and the windows let in tons of natural light during the day.
Location & Getting Around
Párnica isn’t exactly a tourist hotspot, but that’s part of its charm. You’re about 30 minutes from Dolný Kubín if you need more dining options or shopping, and the surrounding Orava region is absolutely stunning if you’re into hiking or just want to escape city life for a bit. There’s decent parking right outside, which honestly saved me a headache since I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of street parking in the area.
