Here’s what the booking sites won’t tell you — Bešeňová is perfectly positioned between the popular Aquapark Tatralandia and some incredible hiking trails, but it’s not overrun with tour buses like other Slovak thermal destinations. You’re about a 20-minute drive to Liptovský Mikuláš if you need proper shopping or dining, but honestly, the peace and quiet here is half the appeal. The thermal springs are literally a few minutes’ walk away, which means you can easily pop back to the apartment between sessions.

The parking situation is sorted, which might sound boring but trust me — it’s a relief when you’re navigating Slovak mountain towns with rental cars and luggage. The apartment stays surprisingly quiet despite being in a multi-unit building, and the Wi-Fi actually works well enough for video calls (I tested it).
