I could walk to the main ski lifts in about five minutes, and the cable car station is even closer. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, especially compared to some of the busier Alpine resorts I’ve stayed at.

The room itself is essentially a well-designed studio that feels more like a small apartment than a hotel room. The local Slovak cuisine is hearty mountain food — perfect after spending hours outside. I found parking to be straightforward too, which isn’t always a given in ski towns.
