This four-star gem sits tucked away in Yablunytsya, and I mean really tucked away — you’ll need to follow the winding road past the main village center to find it, but that’s actually part of its charm.

Location & Setting

The thing about Yablunytsya is that most people rush through it heading to the bigger ski resorts, but they’re missing out. This little Carpathian village has this authentic mountain vibe that you just can’t manufacture. From the chalet, you’re looking out at proper mountain views — not the kind where you squint and pretend, but the real deal with rolling peaks and forests that change color depending on the season. The air here is different too, crisp and clean in a way that makes you want to take deeper breaths.

The Room Experience

My room was this perfect blend of cozy mountain cabin and modern comfort. The wood paneling didn’t feel dated or overdone — more like someone’s stylish mountain retreat where you’d actually want to spend time. What I really appreciated was the attention to details: proper blackout curtains (crucial for those early summer sunrises), a coffee maker that actually worked well, and heating that you could control without calling the front desk.
