Vorokhta isn’t your typical tourist destination, and that’s exactly why it works so well. This little Carpathian town is where Ukrainians come to actually relax, not just pose for Instagram shots. You’re surrounded by those rolling green hills that make you want to take long walks, and honestly, the air here feels different — cleaner somehow. The hotel’s position means you can walk to the train station easily (useful if you’re doing the mountain railway thing), but you’re also close enough to hiking trails that you don’t need to plan elaborate day trips.

My room was larger than I expected, with that slightly vintage European feel that either works for you or doesn’t — for me, it did. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s decent storage space if you’re staying more than just a night.
