You know what I love about staying here? You’re literally a five-minute walk from Peleș Castle — I mean, you can practically see the spires from some of the windows. The location on Strada Toporașilor puts you right in the heart of old Sinaia, where locals still chat over morning coffee at the corner café. It’s far enough from the main tourist drag to feel authentic, but close enough that you can easily explore everything this mountain town has to offer. The train station is maybe ten minutes away if you’re planning day trips to Brașov or back to Bucharest.

The Rooms

Each accommodation here feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter corporate. My room had this beautiful blend of traditional Romanian touches and modern comfort — think exposed wooden beams paired with contemporary furnishings and a spotless, well-appointed bathroom. The beds are seriously comfortable (I’m pretty picky about mattresses), and the windows actually open, which is surprisingly rare these days. Some rooms have small balconies where you can sip your morning coffee while looking out at the Carpathian foothills.

The on-site restaurant surprised me in the best way possible. Rather than typical hotel fare, they serve elevated Romanian cuisine that actually tastes like someone’s grandmother perfected these recipes over decades. I had this incredible ciorbă de burtă that was honestly better than what I’ve found at most dedicated Romanian restaurants. The dining room has this intimate, almost family-style atmosphere — you’ll often find yourself chatting with other guests or the staff about hiking trails or local recommendations.
