But once I found Building B and made my way to the twelfth floor, I realized this four-star place had something special going for it. The mountain views hit you immediately, and suddenly the whole residential thing started making perfect sense.

I mean, you’ve got a proper living area, separate bedroom, and a full kitchen that actually works — not one of those token setups where nothing functions properly. What really got me was how thoughtfully everything was arranged; whoever designed this place understood that people come to Poiana Brasov to unwind, not to feel cramped. The balcony became my morning coffee spot pretty quickly, especially with those Carpathian peaks staring back at you.

Here’s what I appreciated about the location on Doinasului street — you’re close enough to the main action but far enough away that you actually get some peace. The ski slopes are maybe a ten-minute walk, which is perfect when you’re carrying equipment. More importantly, you can easily walk to the decent restaurant options without needing to drive everywhere. Parking is included, which honestly saves you a headache since finding spots near the slopes can be brutal during peak season.

The Mountain Experience

What sets this place apart is how it handles the whole mountain getaway vibe. The building might look ordinary from the outside, but inside you get these floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the landscape perfectly. I spent way more time just sitting there with a book than I planned to. The heating system actually works properly too — something you definitely notice when temperatures drop below freezing. You know what surprised me most? How quiet it stays, even when the building fills up with other guests.
