When I first walked into Elegant Sophia’s Apartment, I honestly didn’t expect to find something this polished on the sixth floor of a residential building in Braşov. The elevator ride up gives you a moment to wonder what you’ve gotten yourself into, but once Sophia opens the door — wow. This four-star apartment feels more like stepping into a friend’s beautifully curated home than a typical rental.

The room layout is smart without trying too hard. You’ve got this open living area that flows naturally into a compact kitchen that’s actually equipped for real cooking — not just reheating leftovers. I mean, there’s proper counter space and everything you’d need if you want to grab ingredients from the local market. The bedroom feels separate enough that you’re not living on top of your suitcase, which honestly makes a difference when you’re staying more than a night or two.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about Strada Tudor Arghezi — you’re in a real neighborhood where locals actually live, but you can still walk to the old town in about fifteen minutes. It’s not one of those tourist bubble locations where every building is a hotel. The street itself is quiet, and there’s decent parking nearby if you’re driving (which in Braşov’s historic center can be a real headache).

What Makes It Work

Sophia clearly pays attention to details that matter. The wifi actually works well enough for video calls, the shower has proper water pressure, and there are enough outlets where you need them. Small things, but when you’re traveling, these are the details that make or break your stay. The windows face away from the main street noise, so you can actually sleep without earplugs — something I’ve learned not to take for granted in Romanian cities.
