You’re about 20 minutes from Zakopane here, which is perfect because you get all the mountain access without the tourist crowds. The village of Czerwienne is basically a handful of houses and farms, so don’t expect nightlife — but that’s exactly the point. The parking situation is straightforward, and you’ll need a car to make the most of this area. What’s brilliant is that you’re positioned perfectly for day trips into Slovakia too, since the border is practically next door.

The Room Experience

My room had this cozy mountain feel without being kitschy about it — wooden furniture that’s actually comfortable, not just decorative. The windows frame the Tatras beautifully, and I mean, you’re basically waking up to postcard views every morning. The bathrooms are modern and well-maintained, which you appreciate after a day of hiking. What surprised me was how quiet everything stayed, even with other guests around.

Food & Dining

The on-site restaurant serves traditional Polish mountain cuisine, and they clearly know what they’re doing. I had the oscypek (that smoked sheep cheese from the region) prepared three different ways, and honestly, it was better than what I’d gotten in Zakopane’s touristy spots. Breakfast runs from 7 to 10, which gives you flexibility for early mountain starts or lazy mornings — both work depending on your plans.
