The location is actually brilliant if you know the area. Kościelisko gives you that authentic Tatra mountain village feel, and I mean, you can literally see the peaks from the property. It’s about a 10-minute drive to Zakopane’s Krupówki street when you want the restaurants and nightlife, but you get to retreat to this peaceful spot afterward. The local bus connections are decent too, though having a car definitely opens up more hiking trail options.

The Room Experience

My room had this modern mountain lodge vibe that worked really well — clean lines but still cozy. The windows were huge, which I loved because the mountain views change throughout the day. The bathroom was spotless and well-designed, though nothing fancy. What impressed me most was how quiet everything was; the soundproofing between rooms is solid, which isn’t always a given in mountain hotels.

The on-site restaurant serves decent Polish mountain cuisine — I had some excellent oscypek cheese dishes and the zurek was properly hearty after a day of hiking. The spa area is compact but functional, perfect for unwinding those sore muscles after tackling the Tatra trails. There’s also reliable parking on-site, which is honestly a relief because finding spots in central Zakopane can be a nightmare during peak season.
