The Room Experience

My room had this perfect balance of mountain comfort and modern touches that actually work together. The wooden beams and traditional textiles give you that cozy highlander vibe, but the bathroom was completely updated and the Wi-Fi was surprisingly solid. What I really appreciated was the view — from my window, I could see the Tatra peaks in the distance, especially beautiful in the early morning light when the mist was still hanging around the valleys.

The on-site restaurant serves regional Polish cuisine that goes way beyond the typical tourist fare you’ll find in busier mountain towns. I had this incredible oscypek cheese dish (that’s the smoked sheep cheese from this region) that was prepared with local honey and cranberries. The staff actually knows the local shepherds who make the cheese, which tells you something about how connected this place is to the community. Plus, they’ve got a decent selection of Polish craft beers if you’re winding down after a day on the trails.
