Location & Mountain Access
What’s brilliant about staying here is you’re right in Bachledova Dolina, which puts you at the base of the Bachledka ski area. During winter, you can practically ski to your room, and in summer, the hiking trails start basically from the hotel grounds. Ždiar village is just a few minutes away, and honestly, it’s one of Slovakia’s most charming mountain villages — the traditional wooden houses are Instagram-worthy, but it still feels authentic.
The Accommodation Experience
I stayed in one of their mountain-view rooms, and the windows are huge — you wake up to these dramatic peaks that change color throughout the day. The rooms are spacious for a mountain hotel, with modern amenities but warm wood accents that keep things cozy. The beds are actually comfortable (which isn’t always a given in mountain hotels), and the bathrooms are well-designed with good water pressure.
Dining & Relaxation
The restaurant serves solid Slovak mountain cuisine alongside international dishes, and their goulash is legitimately good — not just tourist food. After a day of hiking or skiing, the spa area is perfect for unwinding, though it’s not massive. What I really appreciated was the terrace where you can have a drink while looking out at the mountains — it’s one of those spots where you lose track of time.
