Rai Village

We had an amazing time! The place was cool, and we enjoyed the company of everyone who stayed the night with us. We had a wonderful evening by the campfire and savored the food that was prepared there.
The room was small and cozy, with brand new amenities.

The owners were very helpful and ready all the time to make the stay comfortable. They even give us suggestions for our trip and a lot of funny stories. We felt like we was part of the family and even the three dogs and the rabbit had their place in this view spectacular. The food was amazing!!!

Our room and the surrounding area were beautiful and clean! We enjoyed the little pool, the dining area, the good company of the in laws of Charlie, the cute dogs. The place has huge potential, with a fire pit, with a leisure area, in close proximity to Cheile Banitei. Catalina's parents did their absolute best to accomodate us with a great ciorba de fasole with hot pepper and very delicious cheese cake. Breakfast was tasty: scrambled eggs, slanina, good tomatoes, bell peppers and cucumbers, the cheese was to die for!
Do not expect a restaurant here, be prepared to eat whatever they have cooked that day, if you are particular about your food, there are some restaurants along the way where you could go eat. We also brought some cold food, drinks to store in the fridge for when we returned from our hikes because the boys are hungry and have no patience to wait for food :-)
Take this place as a "glamping" style accomodation, do not expect a hotel experience. This is also the beauty of Rai Village, a closer to nature stay with a confort one does not normally have by staying in a tent, with culinary surprises if you are open to them and we had the pleasure of the company of great people.

What could be improved: We would suggest either an air conditioning system in the containers or to take this info out of the booking page, so people know what to expect. It takes a while for the room to cool at night and during the summer evenings it is tough. Also a mosquito nest would be helpful in case you want to air the room without wanting to invite the insects in. In the beautiful bathroom a curtain or something to cover the window in case one needs to shower, should do the trick.

Administratorul este extrem de profesionist, amabil și dedicat, contribuind decisiv la o experiență ireproșabilă. Mâncarea locală este excelentă, preparată cu ingrediente proaspete și respect pentru tradiție, cu un gust autentic și memorabil.
O locație la standarde înalte, unde fiecare detaliu este gândit pentru confort și stare de bine. Recomand cu toată încrederea pentru cei care caută calitate, autenticitate și liniște. 🌿
