Oaza sits quietly in the village of Vacenovice, and honestly, the name couldn’t be more fitting — it really does feel like an oasis tucked away from everything. When you pull up to Pod Kostelem 43, you’re not going to find flashy signage or crowds of tourists, just this charming three-star property that immediately puts you at ease. The building has that authentic Czech countryside feel without trying too hard to be quaint.

Village Life & Local Flavor

You know what I love about staying here? Vacenovice isn’t trying to impress anyone — it’s just genuinely Czech village life. There’s a small church nearby (hence the street name “Pod Kostelem,” which means “Below the Church”), and in the mornings you’ll hear the bells mixing with birdsong. The surrounding Moravian countryside is perfect for those long walks where you actually think about things instead of scrolling your phone.

The Room Experience

My room was simple but thoughtfully done — clean lines, comfortable bed, and everything you need without the clutter. The staff clearly pays attention to details; fresh towels appeared like clockwork, and the Wi-Fi actually worked throughout the building. I mean, it’s not going to win design awards, but there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on getting the basics absolutely right rather than drowning you in unnecessary amenities.

Dining & Hospitality

The restaurant serves honest regional food — think hearty Czech classics done well rather than trying to reinvent the wheel. I had some of the best goulash I’ve tasted outside Prague, and the staff genuinely seemed to care whether I enjoyed my meal. They’re also surprisingly knowledgeable about local wines from the Moravian region, which was a nice surprise.

Why Guests Love It

Look, if you’re after nightlife and shopping, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to experience the Czech Republic beyond the tourist trail — somewhere you can actually relax and maybe rediscover what quiet feels like — Oaza delivers exactly that. The 9.1 rating makes perfect sense when you realize they’re not trying to be everything to everyone. They’ve just mastered the art of being a comfortable, authentic place to stay in a part of the country most visitors never see.
