The village itself has a small grocery store and a couple of local spots, but most guests use this as a base for exploring the surrounding nature.

The owner, Braňo, actually lives nearby and you can tell he genuinely cares about the place — not in an overbearing way, but you know help is available if you need it. The apartment stays surprisingly quiet despite being in the village center, and the heating works well (trust me, this matters in Slovak winters). I was impressed by how clean everything was, and the Wi-Fi actually worked properly, which isn’t always a given in remote mountain locations.
