First Impressions

When I first pulled up to SILVER apartment – Rezidencia Bojnice on Dubnická street, I’ll be honest — the building itself might not wow you from the outside. But that’s part of what makes this place work so well. It’s tucked into a residential area that feels authentically Slovak, where you’re living alongside locals rather than being stuck in some touristy bubble. The three-star rating doesn’t tell the whole story here, because honestly, the attention to detail inside surprised me.

Location & Getting Around

You’re about a 10-minute walk from Bojnice Castle, which is basically why everyone comes to Bojnice anyway. What I really appreciated was how quiet this street gets in the evenings — after spending the day wandering around the castle grounds with all the other tourists, coming back here felt like retreating to your own little corner of Slovakia. There’s parking available, which you’ll definitely want if you’re exploring the region by car like I was.

The Apartment

The apartment I stayed in was genuinely spacious — not just “European spacious” but actually roomy. The kitchen came fully equipped, and I mean that. I cooked dinner a couple of nights using ingredients from the local market, and everything I needed was there. The living area has this comfortable, lived-in feel without being worn down. You know what impressed me most? The little touches — good lighting, decent Wi-Fi, and windows that actually open properly (sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case).

Daily Life

Mornings here are pretty perfect, actually. I’d make coffee in the kitchen, sit by the window, and plan out my day while watching the neighborhood wake up. The local bakery is just a few blocks away — their traditional Slovak pastries became my daily ritual. The staff was helpful when I needed recommendations, but they weren’t hovering around constantly. It felt more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a typical hotel setup.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.9 rating starts to make sense once you’ve been here a few days. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — just a really well-run, comfortable place to stay while you explore this part of Slovakia. The value is excellent, especially considering you get a full apartment with a proper kitchen and living space. If you’re planning to spend several days in the Bojnice area (and you should, there’s more to see than just the castle), this gives you a real base to work from rather than just a place to sleep.
