ATRIO Apartments sits right on Mierové námestie, which honestly couldn’t be better positioned in Trenčín. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of the old town — step outside and there’s the main square with its cafés and that impressive castle looming above. The building itself has this modern, clean look that somehow doesn’t clash with all the historical architecture around it.

What struck me most was how these aren’t your typical hotel rooms — each apartment feels like someone’s stylish city flat. The kitchen setup is actually practical (not just for show), with proper appliances and enough space to make coffee without bumping into walls. You know what’s nice? The windows are huge, so you get all this natural light flooding in, and depending on which floor you’re on, decent views of either the square or the castle hill.

Being on the main square means you’re walking distance to pretty much everything worth seeing in Trenčín. The castle is maybe a 10-minute uphill walk — steep but manageable — and there are several good restaurants within a two-minute stroll. The staff speak decent English and actually seem to know the area well — they gave me some good tips about hiking trails up to the castle that I wouldn’t have found otherwise.
