This three-star place doesn’t try to be something it’s not, but there’s something refreshing about that straightforward approach. The building has this modern, clean look that fits perfectly with the whole AquaCity complex vibe.

Here’s what makes this place different — you’re literally connected to one of Slovakia’s biggest aqua parks. I mean, you can practically roll out of bed and be in the thermal pools within minutes. The hotel guests get discounted access, which actually makes the stay feel like better value than the nightly rate suggests. You know what’s nice? After a day of splashing around or hiking in the High Tatras, you can just slip back upstairs without dealing with parking or shuttles.
The Room Experience
My room was clean and functional — not fancy, but everything worked properly, which I honestly appreciate more than flashy decor that falls apart. The beds are comfortable enough, and the bathroom had decent water pressure. What I liked was the little balcony; not all rooms have them, but if you can snag one, the mountain views in the distance are pretty nice, especially in the morning with coffee.
Location and Getting Around
Poprad’s not exactly a tourist hotspot on its own, but that’s actually part of the charm here. You’re about 20 minutes from the serious hiking trails in the Tatras, and the train station’s close enough that you could easily day-trip to other Slovak towns if you wanted. There’s parking right at the hotel, which is clutch if you’re driving — and honestly, having a car opens up so much more of this region. The surrounding area has that small-town Slovak feel where people actually wave at you on the street.
