The apartment sits right in Starý Smokovec, and I mean right there — you can practically roll out of bed and onto the hiking trails of the High Tatras.

Honestly, the location is what really makes this place work. You’re in the heart of Slovakia’s mountain playground, but it doesn’t feel touristy or overcrowded. The funicular railway to Hrebienok is literally a few minutes’ walk away, which is huge if you’re planning to explore the upper trails. There’s also a decent restaurant downstairs in the building — nothing fancy, but solid Slovak comfort food that hits the spot after a day outdoors.

What strikes you about this four-star apartment is how it balances being functional without feeling sterile. The kitchen is actually equipped for real cooking — proper knives, decent cookware, not just the bare minimum you usually get.
