The Room Experience
My room had that perfect mountain lodge feel — wooden furniture, warm textiles, and a view that made me want to just sit by the window with coffee for hours. The bathrooms are modern enough (thank goodness), but they’ve kept the cozy alpine character throughout. What I really appreciated was how quiet everything was at night — you hear the forest, not traffic or other guests stomping around above you.
Dining & Atmosphere
The restaurant here serves proper Slovak mountain cuisine, and I mean the real deal, not some watered-down tourist version. Their game dishes are exceptional — makes sense when you’re this deep in the mountains. The dining room has these big windows facing the peaks, so even breakfast feels like an event. Location location location. It is very beautiful place to stay. We stay there before going to Gerlach. It is quite expensive but stuff was very helpful and perfect spot to start our adventure. All the facilities very good.
