The location is actually perfect if you’re planning to explore the Low Tatras. You’re about 15 minutes from Liptovský Mikuláš, where you can catch buses or trains, but far enough out to feel like you’re really in Slovakia — not just passing through. The village itself is tiny, maybe 300 people, but there’s a small grocery store within walking distance. I mean, you’re surrounded by hiking trails that most tourists never find, and parking right at the property is never an issue.

The Accommodation

My room was simple but spotless, with that Eastern European attention to cleanliness that puts many fancier places to shame. The wooden furniture feels handmade (probably is), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable — none of that too-soft nonsense you sometimes get. What impressed me most was the little kitchenette area where guests can make tea or coffee. The bathrooms are renovated and modern, which honestly wasn’t what I expected from the outside.
