Vila Morava sits in a quiet spot in Liptovský Mikuláš that honestly took me by surprise. The building has this understated elegance — it’s a four-star property that doesn’t feel the need to shout about it, which I actually appreciate.

What struck me right away was how peaceful it feels here on Bodice street. You’re still close enough to the town center that you can walk to restaurants and shops, but far enough out that you actually get some quiet in the evenings. The High Tatras loom in the distance, and honestly, that view from certain windows makes the whole stay worthwhile. I found myself just standing there with my morning coffee, taking it all in.

The room I stayed in had this cozy, almost homey feel — not corporate hotel bland, but not trying too hard to be boutique either. The furnishings felt solid and comfortable, and there’s actually enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. There’s parking right on-site too, which if you’re driving through this region, you’ll know is not always a given.
