What I love about this spot is how it sits perfectly between accessibility and seclusion. You’re close enough to Ružomberok for decent restaurants and supplies, but far enough out that you actually hear birds instead of traffic. The Liptov region is hiking territory — I mean serious mountain trails — and having this as your base camp makes all the difference. The staff actually knows the local trails too, which you don’t always get at bigger hotels.

My room had this wonderful blend of rustic charm and modern comfort that’s honestly hard to pull off.
