The traditional Ukrainian architecture immediately caught my eye, but it’s the thoughtful modern touches woven throughout that really make this place special.

Pilipets isn’t exactly a household name, but that’s precisely why staying here feels like discovering a secret. You’re about 15 minutes from the main ski areas, which means you get mountain access without the tourist crowds crushing your morning coffee ritual. The village itself is pretty quiet — I mean, genuinely quiet in a way that city folks like me sometimes forget exists. What surprised me most was how the local hiking trails start practically from the hotel’s back door.

The Room & Comfort Factor

My room had this perfect balance of rustic charm and actual comfort that boutique places sometimes struggle with. The wooden beams and traditional textiles gave it character, but the bed was legitimately great and the bathroom was modern enough that I didn’t feel like I was roughing it.
