Vorokhta sits in the heart of the Ukrainian Carpathians, and this property takes full advantage of that mountain setting. You’re actually staying in what feels like a traditional Hutsul homestead, complete with wooden architecture that blends seamlessly into the landscape. The location puts you right in hiking territory — I mean, you can practically roll out of bed and onto a trail. What struck me most was how quiet it gets here at night, with just the sound of the nearby stream.

The Accommodations

The room I stayed in had this wonderful rustic-meets-comfort vibe that you don’t often find. Think handcrafted wooden furniture, traditional textiles, but with modern amenities that actually work. The beds are seriously comfortable — none of that “charming but uncomfortable” nonsense you sometimes get at boutique places.
