Drozdovichi Resort isn’t the kind of place you stumble across by accident — you have to actually want to find it. Tucked away on a quiet street in Oryavchyk, this unique boutique hotel feels more like discovering someone’s beautifully designed countryside retreat than checking into a typical resort. I mean, when you pull up and see the property for the first time, there’s this immediate sense that whoever created this place really cared about every detail.

What struck me most was how the resort manages to feel both secluded and accessible at the same time. Oryavchyk itself is this charming spot that most people drive through without stopping, but honestly, that’s part of what makes Drozdovichi work so well. You’re far enough from the hustle to actually relax, but you’re not completely cut off from civilization either. The surrounding area has this rolling, pastoral quality that changes throughout the day — mornings are particularly beautiful when the mist hangs low over the fields.

The Experience

The room I stayed in had this wonderful balance of rustic charm and modern comfort that’s surprisingly hard to pull off. You know what I appreciated most? The on-site restaurant serves what I’d call elevated comfort food with a Ukrainian soul. They’re clearly working with local suppliers because everything tastes like it was picked or prepared that morning. The staff here genuinely seems to enjoy what they’re doing, which creates this relaxed atmosphere where you end up lingering over meals longer than you planned. There’s also this lovely outdoor seating area that catches the evening light perfectly — I found myself having coffee there every morning just watching the property wake up.

It’s the kind of place that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone, but instead does its particular thing exceptionally well.
