When I first stumbled upon 4 Mountains Hotel in Bystrets, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this unique boutique hotel without official star rating. The name pretty much tells you everything — you’re literally surrounded by the Carpathian peaks, and honestly, the views hit you the moment you step out of your car. Bystrets isn’t exactly a household name, but that’s kind of the point. This little village sits perfectly positioned for exploring the Ukrainian Carpathians without dealing with tourist crowds. I mean, you’re close enough to hiking trails that you can actually see them from your room window, but far enough from busy resort areas that you get genuine peace and quiet. The hotel sits right where you need it — close to mountain access but not in the middle of nowhere.
