The hotel’s location means you can actually walk to the main mineral water springs (that’s what put this town on the map), and there are hiking trails that start practically from your doorstep. I mean, you came to the mountains — might as well use them, right?

Your Home Base

The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious for a three-star place, with a balcony that looked out toward the hills. Nothing fancy, but everything worked properly — and you’d be amazed how often that’s not the case in smaller Ukrainian towns. The bathroom was modern, the WiFi didn’t cut out every five minutes, and the bed was actually comfortable. Sometimes the basics done well beat all the bells and whistles.

The hotel restaurant serves solid regional cuisine — think hearty Carpathian dishes that make sense after a day of hiking. Their borscht is the real deal, not the touristy version you get in Kyiv. There’s also parking right on-site, which is clutch if you’re driving up from Lviv (about an hour away). The wellness area includes a small spa with a sauna that’s perfect for easing those post-hike muscles.
